Everybody Loves Valentines by Sally Huss

The Synopsis:

Yes, everybody loves Valentines! From family to friends to making new friends, Valentines are the perfect way to say you care.

This book is filled with charming illustrations of Valentines in many forms. All in rhyme and just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Review:

With Valentine’s Day drawing near, there are plenty of ways to get your children inspired to make valentines for their friends and family and this book has a fun, rhyming way to give some ideas.

I love the heart of this book and the message it is trying to say, but I’m just not so sure I care for the way it is written. It almost seems as if there are 3 separate books within the one because it changes directions as well as tone of voice 3 different times, as if the author wasn’t exactly sure when to end the book. The illustrations are cute and for the most part it’s a fun book, just a little all over the place.

I give it 3 out of 5 stars and recommend it only to very young children for Valentine’s Day.
